With its series of events, c:o/re seeks to create a transnational research community to tackle pressing issues in science, technology, and society. Within this environment, researchers from all over the world can develop and work on new research questions that are able to respond to our present world characterized by technological interventions into almost every aspect of our reality – from nature and life to social practices and knowledge production – and the transformation of science through digital means and grand challenges. The aim is to bring together people from different fields of expertise and to expand the boundaries set by current academic formats and disciplines.
Cultures of Research is the title of the Lecture Series we host every semester at our venue. For this, we invite distinguished scholars to contribute to the discourse of changing research cultures and to interact with an interested public. Lectures will be taking place every Wednesday from 17:00 to 19:00 CET during RWTH Aachen university’s lecture period. You can take part online after registering with firstname.lastname@example.org.
The topic for the 2022 Summer term’s Lecture Series is The Philosophy of AI. Optimist and Pessimist Views. The series is organized by Markus Pantsar and Frederik Stjernfelt.
The workshop program is an initiative by our c:o/re Fellows and allows for a deeper elaboration on their respective research projects. Find out more about the program here.
