Upcoming lecture series on Lifelikeness

In the winter term we explore the topic Lifelikeness through different disciplinary perspectives, such as System Biology, Environmental Sciences or Neuromorphic Computing. On November 25, Prof. Gabriele Gramelsberger from RWTH-Aachen University will give the opening lecture on "Life from scratch". The lecture will take place hybrid, at Theaterstraße 75 in Aachen and online, from 5 to 6:30 pm.

New Publications of c:o/re

Gabriele Gramelsberger, c:o/re director, has recently published her book "Philosophie des Digitalen" (Junius), one of the first introductions into the philosophy of the digital. Also, c:o/re research assistant Alin Olteanu has co-published with Nataša Lacković a book on "Relational and Multimodal Higher Education" (Routledge).

Call for Fellowships 2024/25

As every year, c:o/re publishes a call for 10 fellowships. This time fellowships can start the earliest in June 2024 and the latest in October 2024, with a length of up to 12 months and a minimum stay of 6 months. Find out more about our call and application details here.

Call for Papers 

This year the conference "Politics of the Machines" (PoM) is co-organized by c:o/re and follows the topic of the semester "Lifelikeness & beyond". To submit a paper for PoM, please check the open call for abstracts.
